The brand
TRE 4x4 Productions began as a maker of drivetrain components for others. Only later did it turn that into a brand of its own — and build a whole range of off-road equipment around the lockers.
From components to a brand of its own
The manufacturer states that in 1988 it began producing drivetrain components for leading automotive brands. After years of testing it released its own line of air lockers, then in turn suspension, recovery gear, storage systems, portal axles, winches, bumpers, racks, lighting and camping equipment.
Three branches
Chongqing in China, Burwood in Australia and Commerce in California. The addresses are published by the manufacturer.
ISO 9001 and TS 16949
Quality-management certificates — TS 16949 being the automotive standard for suppliers. These are not product approvals.
OEM supplier
The manufacturer states it has been selected as a component supplier to European companies. It names none, so neither do we.
The manufacturer's material gives the number of countries it ships to in two versions — „over 60” and „over 80”. We are not going to decide which is current, so we quote neither.
Who sells TRE in Poland
Szekla4x4.pl is the main TRE 4x4 distributor for Poland and appears on the distributor list on the manufacturer's site. We run a shop and a workshop in Warsaw.

Fitting on site
A locker means stripping the axle and setting the gear mesh. We do that here — write to us and we will book a date.
This site is a brand information service. Sales happen in the Szekla4x4.pl shop — there is no basket here and we collect no payment details.
How long the warranty runs
The manufacturer grants different periods for different product groups. We list them separately, because collapsing this into one number would be untrue.

The warranty covers the first buyer from an authorised distributor and does not transfer to a later owner. It excludes competition and commercial use, product modification and overloading. On suspension a safety check 500 km after fitting is mandatory — without it the warranty lapses.
Frequently asked questions
Where does TRE manufacture?
The manufacturer nowhere writes „we manufacture in China” outright, but it gives a plant address in Chongqing and its warranty terms refer to Chinese law. Those are facts from its own material.
We pass them on as they stand, because a customer has a right to know where what they buy comes from.
Is this the manufacturer's official site?
No. It is the site of the main distributor for Poland. The manufacturer is TRE 4X4 LTD., and the TRE 4x4 name and rhino logo are its trademarks.
Where do the photographs on this site come from?
From the media pack the manufacturer supplies to distributors. We caption them as manufacturer photographs, because they are not documentation of our own installations.
